Actor Tom Cruise recently marked his 50th birthday. He also passed another milestone – his THIRD divorce! The latest woman to split from the diminutive Thespian was Dawson’s Creek hottie Katie Holmes.

Given the remarkable moniker ‘Thomas Cruise Mapother IV’ at birth, Cruise found fame as the star of such films as Risky Business and Top Gun. Lets take a closer look at the exes ‘T-Cru’ has sent packing:
Mimi Rogers
The original Mrs. Cruise, Mimi Rogers was six years older than her blushing groom when they wed in 1987. Like Tom, Mimi was a performer, though not of course of the same stature. Highlights of her career include posing nude for Playboy magazine as well as playing Jen’s mom in Dawson’s Creek.

It was Mimi who introduced Tom to the Church of Scientology that he would come to be so well known for. The bonds of faith did not help them stay together however. In 1990 it was Splitsville for the couple.
Nicole Kidman
The next woman on Cruises hitch list was Nicole Kidman. Tom wasted no time on the single life, tying the not with Nicole in the same year he split with Mimi. Keeping it Hollywood, Nicole is of course another screen star.

Tom and Nicole actually stared in a film together, playing a married couple. The film was director Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut. On screen rumpy pumpy led to the movie being censored. The real life couple split not long after.
Katie Holmes
Famous for the role of ‘Joey’ in Dawson’s Creek, Katie and Tom jumped the broom in 2006. In an interesting piece of coincidence like her predecessor she had stared in a Batman film – Batman Begins. Kidman had of course been in Batman Forever.

Who next for Tom?
Speculation abounds who is next for a ride on Tom Cruise’s merry-go-round of love. Of course with the ink on the divorce only just dry it is early day, but a few likely seeming candidates are emerging.
Both wives number one and three shared something in common, having both played parts in Dawson’s Creek. Could another cast member of that show be Cruise’s new sweetheart? Its a possibility, but celebrity watchers have another theory.
Could the next Mrs Cruise actually turn out to be a Mister? An investigation by LA Weekly has turned up five signs that Tom Cruise is gay. If its true who could be the lucky chap? One intriguing possibility being thrown around by internet speculators is that it could be fellow Scientologist John Travolta!
