Cheryl Cole’s fastest selling single of 2012

Cheryl Cole’s latest single Call My Name has become the fastest selling single of 2012 so far, selling 152,000 copies in it’s first week and knocking Gary Barlow’s song for the Diamond Jubilee Sing off the top of the UK charts.

The song has been released under the name ‘Cheryl’ and was written and produced by Calvin Harris. She is no stranger to chart success, this being her third number one as a solo artist.

Her previous chart successes include Fight For This Love and Promise This, combined with her triple platinum album, 3 Words, two BRITs nominations and winning the Best Music Act at the ELLE Style Awards last year, she has certainly made a go of her solo career.
