The contestants of this years X-Factor have teamed up with JLS and One Direction to release this years X Factor charity single Wishing on a Star.
The song is a cover of Rose Royce’s hit and is expected to reach number one this weekend.
All proceeds from the single will go to children’s charity Together For Short Lives.
Simon Cowell who is really taking to twitter, said:
”Heard earlier on today @TheXFactor UK charity single looks like it’s going to be No.1. A massive thank you to everyone who supported this.”
Fighting talk from the Cowell monster, but he only has to fend off Olly Murs and The Muppets singing Dance With Me Tonight.
A fight Mr Cowell wont find so easy will be this years don’t-let-X-Factor-single-be-christmas-No-1-campaign. This year campaigners are hoping to get Nirvana on to the top slot for christmas.
The band’s track Smells Like Teen Spirit has been given 4/1 odds to top this year’s chart following a recent Facebook campaign.
Anyway, so here’s a look behind the scenes of the Wishing on a Star video shoot:
Rumour has it Wishing on a Star is outselling Olly Murs’ Dance With Me Tonight by more than two copies to one. Who do you want to see at number 1 this Sunday? Leave your suggestions in the comments below.
