Olly Murs is perhaps the busiest man in showbiz at the moment. People can’t get enough of him! Chat shows, panel shows, X Factor, The Xtra Factor; you name it, he’s making an appearance. Let’s take a look at what he’s been saying recently.
First off are his feelings of being a presenter on the Xtra Factor. Olly said he received a lot of negative criticism when he got the gig, but now believes he has proved the doubters wrong. He feels he’s made the role his own, but has taken a step back from any suggestions of going into presenting full time. Olly’s main focus is still music which will please his many fans. I think it’s hard not to like him on the Xtra Factor. Always the cheeky chappy, he has a great relationship with co-host Caroline Flack. He’s still denying there’s anything going on between them..
Olly has called Robbie Williams his idol for helping him to write better songs. He’s described having people sing back the words to a song he has written as the best feeling in the world. He’s been inspired to write more mature songs for his 2nd album. Is this the end of fun loving Olly?

Not quite. With his appearance on the X Factor this week, he’s maybe not ready to go all serious on us just yet. Singing his hit single ‘I Just Want To Dance With You’ with the Muppets, it was another display of the all-singing and all-dancing Olly we’ve come to know and love. His duet was with Miss Piggy while an ensemble of other lovable characters played instruments.
Olly is also planning a New Year getaway with JLS’ pin up boy Aston Merrygold. The two met while on the X Factor and have remained close friends since and have been discussing an overseas destination. Both are single so it’ll be somewhere with lots of clubs and parties no doubt.
And lastly, he’s revealed he thought about stealing a superstar’s pants to make some money. Justin Bieber’s underwear looked like an opportunity for him to make some cash by selling them on eBay. In the end, he gave them to a girl who works on the Xtra Factor who is a massive fan of the teen sensation. Olly Murs showing his caring but also rather creepy side.
