Heidi Klum may have moved her legendary fete to Las Vegas this year, but New York was still hopping this Halloween weekend. Check out what some of the celebs in town were up to:

As the hostess-with-the-mostess at the Midori Green party, Kim Kardashian had the stand-out costume of New York this year (not the stand out costume in general, that title belongs to Heidi Klum and her, there’s no other term for this, muscle suit) with her Poison Ivy from Batman & Robin getup. Terrible movie, but absolutely amazing work on the makeup and hair and definitely a step up from last year’s little red riding hood costume. Could we be looking at another Heidi Klum in terms of costume awesome if Kim-K keeps on with the course she’s set? Check out Socialite Life for some more detailed pics.

Switching gears, Bette Midler’s Hulaween, held at the swanky Waldorf=Astoria, was all about fun with charity in mind. Guests were treated to entertainment by Stevie Wonder and a fashion show judged by fashion legend Michael Kors (we’d die if we had Michael Kors judging us), with proceeds going to the New York Restorations Project. Sure there were celebrities there, but what we really cared about was the The castmembers of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, running on Broadway right now.

The colours were eyewatering at newcomer to the scene Pop Art Halloween party held at Rockefeller Garden, where we saw blast from the past Morgan Fairchild and the always crazily dressed designer Marc Bouwer who went as Pop Art God. Just from checking out the red carpet pics, it looks like this might be the event to watch for some real avant garde costumes in years to come.

And just over the bridge in Jersey, Paz de la Huerta made an appearence at the Burlesque Halloween event at Caesars’ Dusk nightclub in Atlantic City dressed as a.. we have no idea. Some kind of femme fatale? We’re just happy that she actually decided to wear clothes, even if the dress left nothing to the imagination. The shindig itself was pretty sweet, have to say.

The real big ticket event, though, has yet to happen. The Joonbug 10th Annual Masquerade Halloween Ball is happening tonight at Capitale, and it has a bit of a reputation to uphold. Past parties have had a star-studded guest list including Jay Z, Heidi Klum, P Diddy, Russell Simmons and Zac Posen among others, so we’ll be looking forward to whatever pictures show up out of that!

Look like a holiday season you could see yourself partying at? Well, get on it and get your trip to New York booked, because you don’t have to be a celebrity to get in on some of these events as long as you pick up a ticket early. Hey, we even gave you a handy link to some flights. No excuses!
