Fashion

Have you got a passion for fashion? So why don’t you know all this stuff already? Do you think I have time to troll the net for these amazing hard hitting stories? Well of course I do, but it wouldn’t hurt if you kept up anyway. I can’t inform all your opinions. Here’s what you’ve missed.

17 years until we get another model

First lady of France Carla Bruni has given birth to a baby girl in a private clinic in Paris. French president Nicholas Sarkozy missed the birth, not because he was too short to see over the bed but because he had to leave for “urgent talks” with Angela Merkel. Priorities much Nicholas! Baby Giulia, shows traits of both her parents, having already written an introspective song about the European monetary crisis.

Versace did what now?

Versace are releasing a new range for H&M (shudder). What happened to you Versace? You used to be cool. That is all.

Did you say cat flaps?

If you want to look cool this season then it’s all about the flat cap. Sales of these cloth bonnets have rocketed an astonishing 75%. Celebrities such as George Clooney, Justin Timberlake and Daniel Craig have popularised the look in a completely non ironic way. (Are we sure it isn’t ironic? They’re all serious? God, fashion you’re weird). You can complete the look by going to a working men’s club, drinking real ale and sticking a ferret down your trousers.

Shop online, in store

Have you ever been in a shop browsing items, getting a feel for the fabric and seeing how the clothes fit, and thought to yourself, this would be so much better if I could do none of these things but instead could look at a small screen in someone else’s hands? Well now you can at Oasis in central London. All staff are armed with iPads so they can always tell you what’s in stock. The changing rooms have them too, to allow shoppers to stay naked and order items straight there and then and even pay using them. Hear that Oasis staff? Now everyone gets to demand stuff all the time and a little machine will shout at you.

Lindsay? That’s Ali’s sister right

Ali  Lohan has proved that she can stand still, wear clothes and stare into a camera while looking kinda androgynous. Oh, yes a model has been born. She showed off her talents in a spread in Fault magazine and while it’s nothing groundbreaking it shows that she can turn up at work and not get locked up in jail. Bonus all around. Hopefully the fame want have the same effect it had on poor LiLo who seems to have misunderstood the term “method acting”.

We’ll be back next week. If you see any stories you think must be reported then give us a holler in the comments section and maybe we’ll feature it if you’re stylish enough.
