It has been barely a week since X Factor songstress Cher Lloyd released her new video on Youtube, but already ‘Swagger Jagger’ has managed to rack up 50,000 dislikes on the video sharing site.

Compared to a paltry 20,000 likes, it seems the internet has taken an instant hatred to Cher’s latest venture, which showcases her singing and ‘rapping’ skills while dancing around a semi-animated backdrop.

Youtube users are calling her ‘an absolute disgrace to music’, ‘the reason why X Factor should be no more’ and a ‘SWAGGER JACKER’…

No, we didn’t get the last one either. But we’re sure it can’t be nice.

Poor Cher tried to retaliate to the overwhelming torrent of hatred by whimpering on Twitter: “I have feelings. I come over as hard-faced, but please give me a break”.

However, it might not be all bad for the pint sized pop princess. The video for ‘Swagger Jagger’ has scored over 2 million views in just 5 days. So while the reaction might be negative, it has made a big impression, and that’s never a bad thing. Just ask Rebecca Black.

The 17 year old shot to fame when she took part in the X Factor process last year. Since then, she has been working on her music both here and in the States, and has reportedly teamed up with rapper Busta Rhymes for one of her new tracks.

‘Swagger Jagger’ will be released on the 31st July, followed by her debut album on the 22nd August.

Cher’s video clearly hasn’t gone down well with the Youtube community, but what do you think? Let us know in the comments section below!
