The gossip world has been set alight this week after news that Justin Timberlake has teamed up with Specific Media to buy Myspace from Newscorp for $35 million.
Apparently unsatisfied with simply playing a social media entrepreneur in the movies, Timberlake has taken to getting his hands dirty with the real deal.
However, Timberlake is not the first personality to try his hand at business. Hollywood is chock full of celebrity entrepreneurs, some of which have actually done not too badly. Here are but a few of them:
Moby – Teany
Chilled out techno idol Moby founded New York cafe Teany in 2002. Famed for its tea beverages, offbeat decor and vegan food, the enterprise is still going strong today.
The Teany chain even exports some of its bottled tea drinks to the UK, so you’ll be pleased to know that you necessarily don’t need a plane ticket to NY to try out Moby’s mouthwatering drinks!
Myleene Klass – Baby K

Some of you may remember ex-pop singer Myleene Klass appearing on the Apprentice’s ‘You’re Fired’ promoting her kid’s clothing range Baby K.
Founded in 2008, the brand makes clothes for children up to five years old. Aimed at stylish mums like herself, Myleene has a prominent role in the design process and is a huge advocate for the brand.
You can find the stylish togs in most branches of Mothercare.
Madonna – M by Madonna
Fellow pop star Madonna has also had success in the fashion world by designing a women’s fashion range for retail giant H&M.
Acting as model, designer and pitchwomen, Madonna has managed to get properly stuck in to the whole brand, which is available in 26 countries.
Danny DeVito – DeVito South Beach

Not sure if DeVito would be the first celebrity to put you in the notion for fine cuisine, but the Hollywood star owns a self-titled restaurant in Miami, Florida.
Specialising in Italian food, the restaurant employs an acclaimed team of chefs and the food is actually quite nice. Who would’ve guessed?!
